In the talk Dr. Perenboom will give an update and illustrate the present status of the design and construction work on the 45 T hybrid magnet system for the Nijmegen laboratory. Most emphasis will be on the design of the cryostat for the superconducting magnet, but he will also address the superconducting coil, the preliminary design of the resistive insert magnet and the cryogenic and electrical systems.
