报告人简介:曹树更博士现任职于美国哈佛大学医学院,是美国哈佛大学医学院天然产物研究室主任。他主要从事天然产物的分离鉴定和药理活性的检测工作,具有非常丰富的天然药物的研究工作经验,是Organic Letters,Journal of Natural Product,Tetrahedron等9种学术期刊的特约评审专家。曹树更博士在Science, Cell, PNAS, Org. Lett., J. Natural Product 等国际权威学术期刊上发表论文70余篇,获国际专利5项。
报告摘要:Many small molecules play very important roles in nature. Our studies on Bacillus subtilis led to the discovery of two types of biofilm inhibitors, D-amino acids and norspermidine. Their mechanisms of actions have been elucidated and proposed. Gene manipulation of a Streptomyces species yielded polycyclic tetramate macrolactams (PTM) that showed anti-fungal activity. Genome mining and PCR-guided study were carried out to identify more PTM analogues from an environmental Streptomyces strain. Ipomoeassins and other biologically active molecules were discovered through assay-guided separation from tropical plants, endophytic fungi and bacteria.
